Working with a major UK building contractor FilmShield installed Anglian premium quality anti-shatter film to all glazed areas of a vast new development for Orange Communications in Whitley Bay.
Originally designed for use by the MOD, anti-shatter film when professionally installed provides an almost undetectable barrier that holds broken glass in place – thus reducing the damage that could otherwise occur as the result of an impact or explosion. A V-Kool film was applied, which is a high performance 3 ply solar rejection film.
V-Kool is unique in its combination of heat control performance yet almost invisible performance. It is capable of reflecting 52% of solar heat and 98% of ultra violet, yet is so clear that a completed installation is virtually undetectable.
The correct application of safety films to annealed glass also provides a method that complies with the workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) regulations 1992.
