Owned by Scottish and Newcastle Retail, Millers Pub/Restaurant has a vast expanse of glass to provide a light, bright and airy environment inside the enormous conservatory. On warm days, however the solar heat build up inside the conservatory combined with high levels of visible glare was making the environment uncomfortably hot and bright.
FilmShield assessed the problem and recommended the supply and installation of Anglian R20 solar film to the fully glazed roof.
The film works by reflecting heat and glare away from the panel to which it is installed. Reductions in solar energy of up to 78% and visible glare by up to 82% are achieved whilst preserving the quality and clarity of the view to the outside world.
